This large unfinished garage was in desperate need of garage storage space. Putting the aisles of boxes into garage cabinets could free up a lot of floor space for parking vehicles.

This cluttered and unfinished garage is a common sight. Hanging vapor barrier and exposed framing studs left an unsightly look and there are no practical storage systems being used.

Unfinished two-car garage in a new home.

GL Custom Steel cabinetry and Floortex™ floor coating are in Harbor Blue. LED lighting (mounted under the slatwall panels) turn on when the garage door opens providing a nice custom touch.

This large, unfinished single-car garage has a new cement floor and unpainted drywall. Household items are shoved into the corners and could benefit from some garage storage options.

The floor and foundation walls were transformed with a Floortex™ floor coating in Harbor Blue. Grey slatwall panels provide beautiful wall storage, accented with hidden LED lighting throughout. The floor and foundation walls have a Floortex™ coating in Sedona. A taupe slatwall is used throughout making it easy to hang baskets and hooks where needed.

A GL Custom Steel cabinetry system was installed with lockers and a work station which features a stainless steel countertop, diamond plate backsplash and a valance light bar. The entire garage was painted as well and the wiring along the ceiling was cleaned up.

The central vac was moved higher up the wall to provide more space. A heater was installed in the top left corner. The walls and ceiling were primed and painted.

The flooring and foundation walls have a Floortex™ floor coating in Nightfall. The walls were primed and painted. The outside walls have slatwall panels with various racks, hooks and shelves and a golf caddy. Overhead racks were mounted 24 inches from the ceiling and provide space for seasonal items.

Inexpensive melamine kitchen/laundry room cabinetry provided inadequate storage space.

A Floortex™ floor coating in Nightfall was applied to the floor, foundation walls, a wide step and a custom kick plate below the cabinets. GL Premium cabinetry in silver and granite provide storage. A new sink, faucet, stainless steel counter top and diamond plate backsplash were added. The central vac was moved to the left and slatwall panels were added to all the walls.

Garage was primed and painted. The floor was finished with a Khaki Floortex™ floor coating. The temporary wooden steps were replaced with precast concrete steps and given the same coating as the floor.

Installed slatwall panels to a height of 6 feet around the perimeter of the garage which provides a lot of flexibility for future storage and organization. A hose reel was installed in the back left corner with a couple of shelves. Beside the central vac are a couple of wire baskets with some mesh baskets below.

This three-car garage was full of boxes and artwork prior to the renovation.

The cabinets were custom fit into the alcove on the back wall (GL Custom Steel cabinetry featuring black shells and silver doors). The central vac system was concealed in one of the storage lockers. Slatwall panels and hooks provide additional storage. The flooring is done with a Quicksilver Floortex™ floor coating.

This is a classic example of old kitchen cabinets being repurposed in a two-car garage. It’s an inexpensive and often temporary solution.

The cabinetry was replaced with GL Custom Steel cabinetry that can store golf bags and other sporting equipment. A khaki slatwall panels provides wall-mounted storage for a hose reel, baskets and hooks. New lights were installed and the garage was given a fresh coat of paint.

This fairly new garage had some height limitations on the back wall which was used for HVAC.

GL Custom Steel cabinets and lockers were custom fit into the unique footprint of the garage to maximize storage space. A stainless steel countertop, diamond plate backsplash and custom kick plate were installed. Blue and gun metal colour used in cabinetry to match the client's vehicle colours. A shallow cabinet was inset below the counter to allow for a stool to placed there.
